The first Session I opened took me a good minute to open up since i was scared i was going to melt the plastic. Essentially what you are trying to do is to slowly break the glue/seal without melting the plastic gopro frame. Using high temperature gloves and a solid surface, start by heating up the edges around the lense, using low heat, as it warms up slowly start applying separation pressure using the lanyard. Lanyard like this works, or anything else that is strong enough to use for pulling The approach i used was to use a wagner heat gun and a very strong lanyard. I don't have a video handy since this was done a while back.
I did see the youtube videos on Gopro Session disassembly, most of the end results were pretty messy and the session almost looked like a dog chew toy (1, 01:03 PM)yatseck Wrote: How did you manage to open the camera so cleanly?
